Awkward Introductions!

So what do you say to people these days in order to get them to listen to you? Should you engage in mindless Monday morning conversations about the (nearly dead I hope) X Factor, proof if it were needed that the countries bar streets are becoming ever more deserted. Kim Kardashian, random footballers latest shameful shag fest? God help me! God help us all. Do not get me wrong the odd piece of salacious gossip is a much needed guilty pleasure, but if I see another girl on TV in a skimpy outfit, looking like a star stuck prostitute causing a media furore (mainly in the Sun obviously) I may just spontaneously combust!
I am a twenty something girly girl I like to make the best of myself, I read LOOK magazine every week, think a fresh bunch of flowers make the house look much nicer, can sing a little (so I am told), but somehow the "I wanna be famous Simon" gene has thankfully passed me by!
The other day I heard Faye of channel 5's Big Brother describe Bargain Hunt as "intellectual", really?
So I like BBC 4 documentaries, history, art and reading books (lots of books).
I am not saying that all people who like the X Factor are base or that my interests are superior I'm just saying that it can be hard to find people who want to talk about what you want to talk about these days, can't it?
Sometimes I just want to talk about how David Cameron is the most pompous, lying, hypocritical, elitist puppet I have ever had the misfortune to witness!
This blog is basically me, my views and thoughts on anything from the soaps to the political unrest in the middle east.
If you like variety in your social commentary then this blog is for you!
